Operating Principle Overview
Load Sensing (LS) Control: The valve receives a load pressure signal from the system actuator. When the difference (Δp) between the pump's output pressure and the load pressure exceeds the LS spring setting, the valve spool moves, directing hydraulic fluid into the variable displacement cylinder and reducing the pump's swashplate angle (displacement), thereby maintaining a constant Δp and delivering flow on demand.

Pressure Cutoff (DR) Control: The valve also monitors system pressure. When system pressure reaches the DR spring setting, the valve spool responds first, rapidly reducing the pump's displacement to near zero, maintaining a small flow rate to compensate for leakage until system pressure drops.
